Training Aspirations has developed a Proof of STMS Current Competence which includes an individual assessment of competence. This event includes a 1.5 hour session (knowledge load up covering the new credentials framework, NZGTTM and Risk assessment) and an in the field assessment including setting up, maintaining and removing TTM for a common site (e.g stop/go or lane diversion).

This provides the base knowledge for working on category A roads (urban roads, 60km/h or less).

Fee for assessment $750 plus $600 for hire of TTM vehicle and equipment - total of $1,350.00. As part of the practising assessment process for a new STMS, they have to install, maintain and remove 2 sites which a TTM Mentor verifies as having been completed to standard. This assessment is for the 2 verified sites for Cat A roads.

This is the practising assessment which allows an STMS to take charge of installing, maintaining and removing TTM at worksites on Cat A roads (urban environments 60km/h or less).

Enables you to apply appropriate control measures to manage risks while carrying out low risk, low impact activities within the road reserve, where the primary role is not temporary traffic management.

This is the practising assessment which allows an STMS to take charge of installing, maintaining and removing TTM at worksites on Cat B roads (rural roads, one lane each way, 70km/h or more).
