TTM Worker Training - US 31958

This is the starting point for people joining the TTM industry. It includes a briefing, practice in a protected area and assessment on a live roading network.

The workshop includes a briefing on staying safe while working with TTM equipment, a practice of key tasks in a protected area and an assessment of those key tasks on a live road network.

This includes:

• Setting up and removing,signs, tapers and cone thresholds
• Operating stop/go (including radio communications)

The following unit standard will be awarded upon successful completion of the assessment - US 31960: Maintain the TTM worksite, install and remove a worksite, and undertake an inspection activity

Participant's National Student Number (NSN) is required for the unit standard to be awarded. Contact us if you have any problems finding this.

There are no prerequisites for this workshop.

A worker who works under supervision to assist with installation, maintenance and removal of TTM.

Also includes anyone controlling traffic in alternating flow situations using approved controls (e.g. stop/go or stop/slow paddles, portable booms or manually controlled portable traffic signals).

The following is included in the workshop fee:

• Assessment and awarding of the TTM Worker Unit standard
• Morning tea, Lunch and Afternoon tea
• Workshop resources
• Use of TTM equipment for stop/go operation used during the assessment.

You will require a hi-vis garment and safety boots.

Sun protection is required on sunny days. Wet weather gear is required if rain is likely. Expect the unexpected.
