Specialist First Aid for TTM

This training is tailored for real life incidents and accidents that may occur at a TTM worksite.

Description

This training will be delivered by Specialist Paramedics with over 25 years of frontline experience each. They are truly experts in their field.

 Specialist First Aid for TTM is designed for those in the roading sector looking for a deeper level of preparedness.

This course goes beyond the basics to cover a wide range of medical emergencies. From advanced CPR techniques and managing serious bleeding, to responding to medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and seizures. You’ll gain the confidence to handle complex first aid situations and the ability to recognize common risks and injuries on a TTM worksite and how to manage them.

Ideal for workplaces within the roading sector dealing with higher risk work environments and anyone wanting a higher level of first aid capability.

The training goes beyond the usual first aid training to incorporate:

    • Securing a worksite in the event of a major incident
    • Preventative measures to manage exposure risks
    • Managing scenes to optimize paramedic response
    • First aid response in remote areas
    • Preparing a helicopter landing site
    • Definition of notifiable incidents
    • AAA approach to incident management

 

Who it is for

There are no prerequisites for this training, and it can be used to confirm current competence in the first aid unit standards 6402/6403.

Qualification

Upon successful completion of this event, the participants will receive a certificate which can be used as proof of first aid current competence. This certificate is valid as proof of competency for two years.
