As part of the practising assessment process for a new STMS, they have to install, maintain and remove 2 sites which a TTM Mentor verifies as having been completed to standard. This assessment is for the 2 verified sites for Cat B roads.

This provides the base knowledge for undertaking mobile operations on either category A and B road environments or the shoulder of category C road environments.

Fee for assessment $750 plus $1,000 for hire of TTM vehicles (work, shadow and tail pilot), crew and equipment - total of $1,750.00. This is the practical assessment for an STMS who is going to be in charge of mobile operations (excluding mobile operations for installing TTM at static worksites). STMS Mobile verified sites and assessment are combined into a single assessment event.

Training Aspirations has developed a Proof of STMS Current Competence which includes an individual assessment of competence. This event includes a 1.5 hour session (knowledge load up covering the new credentials framework, NZGTTM and Risk assessment) and an in the field assessment including setting up, maintaining and removing TTM for a common site (e.g stop/go or lane diversion).

This is a 2-day knowledge workshop which provides base knowledge for the STMS category A, B or C learning blocks and the STMS Mobile learning block. The STMS Universal workshop can be run in conjunction with a category A, B or C workshop or an STMS Mobile workshop

This is the starting point for people joining the TTM industry. It includes a briefing, practice in a protected area and assessment on a live roading network.

This workshop provides base knowledge for working on category B roads (rural roads, one lane each way, 70km/h or more). It is normally completed sometime after a Cat A NP workshop has been completed.

This workshop covers all of the knowledge needed for the TMO to be able to install, maintain and remove TTM out of the lane, mind TTM in the lane and complete inspection activities.
